| Feeling at home in cyberspace |
| |
Loyal readers of our corporate magazine, Cosun in Business, may need some time to feel at home in cyberspace. We all move with the times, of course, so working with new media and reading from the screens on our desktops will be nothing new. But there is a big difference between holding a beautifully printed magazine and browsing an Internet page. A magazine is for connoisseurs; on-screen information is convenient for busy people in a hurry.
So why the change from printed to digital? The main reason is that nowadays we don’t really have enough time to read professional and management information properly or thoroughly. It all has to be fast-moving, very concise and illustrated. A website offers more opportunity to us as the publisher and to you as a selective reader. Nonetheless, I’m sure many of you, like me, will miss the beautiful full-colour magazine a little.
But there is no progress without change. We hope that members of our ‘old’ readership will soon become frequent visitors to this news site and will subscribe to the digital news service so that they do not miss news items or background articles on Cosun and the world of food. New visitors and subscribers, of course, are also more than welcome. The initiative to subscribe now lies with you.
