| Driven by cooperation |

More than a hundred years ago, a group of growers united forces and founded the cooperative which now carries the name Cosun. Clearly, co-operating is more to us than a contemporary phenomenon. What is new is that we want to emphasise this cooperation as an important element of our added value for our customers, suppliers and other stakeholders. This is aptly expressed in our new pay-off: Royal Cosun driven by cooperation.
In an age of change, the raw materials largely stay the same. And with the very same means and materials, the challenge is to continue to discover new tastes and applications. It lies in utilising skills and creativity within the chain, from the fields to the consumer. Initiating dialogue with co-workers, customers, suppliers and other companies in our sector opens doors to new developments from which everyone can benefit.
This line of thought is at the basis of the increasing cooperation between Cosun’s business groups and with customers to develop new products that suit today’s consumer – and tomorrow’s. This development is supported by intensive internal programmes and all sorts of marketing courses, for the exchange of technical and marketing knowledge. The content of these programmes is decided on with our customers in mind. Their contribution as guest speaker and in discussions has already proven invaluable.
Naturally, our continuing growth is one of the underlying themes of these activities. Nevertheless, I think that the biggest part of cooperation is the fun of it. It’s the learning experiences and contact with others that keeps an organisation fresh and driven. That’s what motivates Cosun, and that’s our slogan: Royal Cosun driven by cooperation.
